The Greek Gods Book Tag

Greek Gods tag

Hello everyone!

I’m about to do something different in this here blog post. I usually just write book reviews and maybe share some movie adaptions but I also want to try to engage more with other fellow book bloggers. I think this is a great way to find each other and share the love of what we enjoy, reading. So in this tag I will only include the books I have this  year only into this tag.

I stumbled upon a book blogger, Meltotheany , and I wanted to try to participate in this type of tag. I wasn’t tag but I don’t care. I want to still try it out and see if you all like this type of thing.

➽ THE RULES:

• Pingback to Zuky here so she can read all your posts!
• You can use her graphics if you like, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.
• Tag as many people as you want, but please share the love.

Zeus

Zeus: King of Gods- Your Favorite Book

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine

31434883

I really fell in love with this book. I was very looking forward to reading it whenever I had the chance to pick it up. I felt a great sense of emotion toward Eleanor and somewhat relatable of her characteristics. This is a book I wouldn’t mind re reading again.
Hera

Hera: Queen of The Gods- A Badass Female Character

Artemis

34928122

Jazz Bashara is the protagonist of this epic sci-fi novel. She is a total badass and I definitely admire her from start to finish. She’s independent and have some street smarts. She knows how to make things work through her disadvantage and her personality is awesome. I would recommend you listen to the audiobook because it will blow your mind away.

Janus

Janus: God of Beginnings- Your favorite Debut(s)

The Hate U Give

32075671This book blew me away. It’s always fun to try to read books from new authors and when I read about this synopsis, it was something you can relate to the real world, which made it more interesting. This book is a game changer. I ask you to read it and tell me if this book has opened your eyes. It’s fictional but it’s also something that’s been happening.

Athena

Athena: Goddess of Wisdom- Your Favorite Non-Fiction Book

I’ll Be Gone In The Dark

35068432Michelle McNamara spent most of her time trying to solve this cold case of the Golden State Killer. This book manage to make to understand her intentions and how she was fixated on solving this case. Unfortunately, she died before ever solving it. But due to this book being publish, in a twisted fate, the killer was actually caught this year. Her husband was able to find some peace towards her late wife’s work. He was always supportive and I know he’s very proud of her for helping the law enforcement with this case.

Aphrodite

Aphrodite: Goddess of Love- A Book You Adore and Recommend Everyone Read (other than your favorite book!)

The Both Die In The End

33385229I know the title of the book gives it away but trust me it’s a good one. I mean what would you do when you are told you are going to die? Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio spend their last night together without having to feel so alone. They have their lasts of things and try to make the best of it. It’s sad but it’s beautiful.

Hades

Hades: God of The Underworld- An Evil Book You Wish Didn’t Exist

My Friend Dahmer

12959045

This graphic novel is a true story how Derf knew Jeffrey Dahmer, the notorious serial killer. I can just tell you it’s pretty sad how he tried to become his friend but didn’t bother to actually be his friend. He mainly used him as a muse throughout his high school year. I don’t think there was a point to even tell his side of the story just to tell everyone that Jeffrey was always weird.

Poseidon

Poseidon: God of The Sea and Earthquakes- A beautiful and Ground Breaking Book

Sadie

34810320

This book left me asking for more. The more I read and discovering more or Sadie’s intentions is what grabbed my attention. It’s filled with so many characters and it can be a bit overwhelming when you read it. I recommend to listen to the audiobook because it feels like more real.

Apollo

Apollo: God of The Arts- A Beautiful Book Cover

Salt

37826494

Okay I really find this cover gorgeous. It’s dark and beautiful. The night sky, the sea, the boat, and the stars. I only have the e-version of this book but still, this cover was the main reason I picked this book to read from Netgalley. The story was okay. I gave it three stars.

Hypnos

Hypnos: God of Sleep- A Book So Boring You Almost Fell Asleep

The Grip of It

31574739

No offense but most of the time it was hard to get through this book without falling asleep. Most of the time the characters were bumming me out. What they were feeling, I was feeling it and it sure wasn’t anything positive. For me I got a meh and numb feeling about their situation so it felt like I was dragging to finish this book.

Hermes

Hermes: Messenger of The Gods- A Book You Sped Through

36426163

I didn’t take that much time with this one. I basically skimmed through it given that it was filled with short stories. Some were good and some were meh. It has different type of witches from different cultures.

So now for the fun part. I will be tagging some of my fellow book bloggers so they can partake on this boog tag. Hope you all enjoyed this post, until then…
